STEM-TASTIC Spring Festival
Friday, March 27 2026, 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Tarwater Elementary PTO is requesting community support to help fund our annual S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Festival. This school-wide event is provided FREE for all students and families, ensuring accessibility for our entire community. We anticipate more than 1,000 guests, including all 640+ Tarwater students, who will engage in hands-on, curiosity-driven learning.
The STEM-tastic Spring Festival is designed to:
-
Spark curiosity through engaging, real-world science applications.
-
Build connections between students, families, and local STEM professionals.
-
Encourage inclusivity by eliminating cost barriers.
-
Inspire future innovators by showing how science and engineering shape the world around them.
Aligned with our school-wide theme, POWER, the festival will feature student-led projects, interactive booths, and demonstrations from community partners covering topics like circuits, robotics, solar energy, coding, and engineering design challenges. If we can raise the funds, our goal this year is to be able to offer a fiberglass slide and go-kart track, not just for fun, but as a live demonstration of physics in action. Students will experience gravitational potential energy transforming into kinetic energy, explore how inclined planes work, and investigate the role of friction in slowing motion. This memorable, high-impact activity will reinforce classroom concepts in a real-world, tangible way.
Community funding will help offset the cost of the activity rentals and supporting STEM stations. By securing this funding, we can expand the festival’s reach, incorporate additional hands-on learning experiences, and keep the event free so every student can participate regardless of financial circumstances.
With your support, Tarwater students will not only have a day of exploration and excitement, they’ll gain lasting inspiration to see themselves as scientists, engineers, and creative problem-solvers. Together, we can tap into the POWER of imagination, collaboration, and learning to fuel the next generation.
Students directly benefiting: All 640+ Tarwater Elementary students, with extended reach to over 1,000 attendees through family participation.
