Tarwater Elementary School’s Lunar New Year Celebration will be held outside on Friday, Feb 6, 2026, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. The goal of this event is to provide our community an opportunity to celebrate different cultures and holidays with hands-on crafts, exciting performances and tasty food.  We are expecting over 1,000 guests to attend this year. 

Student Vendors: Tarwater PTO is sponsoring up to six student run vendor booths for this event. The vendor booth will be highlighting multicultural products.  This is an opportunity to showcase and sell something related to different cultures. The Lunar New Year Committee will vote on six students to participate. If you are chosen, a parent/guardian must be present at all times and must stay with you and your booth throughout the evening. 

Student vendors will have a designated area approximately 10 ft wide and be responsible for providing their own signage, a table (no longer than 6 feet) and chairs. Student vendors are responsible for their own set-up and clean-up. Electrical outlets cannot be guaranteed. All student vendors will be assigned a predetermined location. Set-up begins at 4:30 pm and student vendors must be ready with their area no later than 5:10 pm. Student vendors must stay until 8:00 pm.
