How the Program Works
Volunteer-Led
Join as a volunteer Art Guide in your child's classroom. All training, lesson plans, and materials are provided. So no prior art education or experience is necessary. Or, join as a Classroom Assistant and help keep kids on track, organize supplies, and handle clean-up.
Lesson Structure
The program consists of six 1-hr lessons spread throughout the school year. You'll use ready-made lessons in an easy-to-use Google Slides format. Every lesson spotlights a famous artist or masterpiece, highlights a core concept like texture or perspective, and wraps up with a fun, hands-on student art project.
Educational Goals
While having fun, students meet Arizona Academic Standards for Visual Arts. This enriching curriculum boosts their cognitive thinking, problem-solving abilities, motor skills, and self-esteem.
